Saturday, September 23rd 10am – 4pm:  Introduction to Intaglio (Etching) Printmaking!  A new workshop for those looking for something different.  A wonderful medium that accents fine mark-making, lovely tones and versatility. Please note that this workshop is held at my home studio in Burnt Hill, just outside of Oxford.  It’s a pleasant 45 minute drive from Christchurch.  Carpool arrangements can be made with advance notice between interested workshop participants. (Class is limited to 5 so register soon to reserve your space!).   All supplies included!  $195.

(Date Change!) Saturday, November 11th, 9:30am – 3:30pm:  Bookmaking Workshop!  Back by popular demand!  Learn to make a very sturdy, attractive book suitable for journaling and especially good for sketchbooks.  Held at Art Metro, 465 Papanui Road. Limit of 10 students. $85 plus a $15 supply fee.

(Date/Time Change, Venue Announced!) Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th:  10am – 1:30pm:  Drawing the Human Figure and Portrait.  The fundamentals of drawing are essential to any art practice.  Learn how to block in the complexities of the human form and understand how light influences the form.  A must for those interested in portraits and figures!  Limit of 10 students. $175.  Venue:  Christchurch Art Center!
